You might be suing Facebook for various reasons but one this is for sure, you may have added applications, games etc. or may have given access of your Facebook Account to many other websites.
Here are few things you may want to know about these apps getting your Account information. 
Whenever you click on a link and a pop up ( something like the image above) appears asking you to allow that application to access your profile. Most of applications ask for Basic Information like your full name, pictures, gender, networks, list of friends and mostly all your information which is stored in the database of Facebook.
Few Applications also ask you the permission to post something on your wall, This is critical because they can post anything they want. Most trusted apps don’t take the advantage of it but you should always be aware of weather or not to give the permission to access.
There are few apps which spread like a virus via Facebook chat, this is because you give them access to your Facebook Chat.
It’s like any of your friend click on the link and gives access to his Facebook Chat, the same messages goes to everyone who is online in his chat, and if you give the access, it goes to your chat list.
You can save yourself from these things by giving access to only trusted apps.
